President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky thanked the US House of Representatives for passing the bill to support Kyiv. He wrote about this on social networks.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the members of the House and personally to Speaker Mike Johnson “for decisions that will preserve the correct course of history.”
The bill involves the allocation of $60.84 billion to help Ukraine. Most of these funds will remain in the United States. Thus, $23.2 billion will be used to replenish the arsenals of the US Army, which were empty after the transfer of weapons, equipment and ammunition to Kyiv.
310 members of the chamber voted in favor of providing assistance to Kyiv.
