MOSCOW, April 24Blogger Elena Blinovskaya agreed to pay off tax debts; for this, the investigation will lift the arrest from part of her property, lawyer Natalia Salnikova said at a meeting in the Moscow City Court.
«Elena is ready to pay off, we have the consent of the investigation to lift the arrest from other property for repayment of arrears,» she said.

Blinovskaya was detained in April last year and accused of tax evasion of 918 million rubles and money laundering and was put under house arrest. Then she was charged again with two counts of illegal circulation of payment funds and asked the court to arrest her for violating the terms of house arrest. The “queen of marathons” was sent to pre-trial detention until April 26.

A defendant in the case is also the blogger’s husband Alexey, who was charged with aiding and abetting tax evasion and money laundering on a particularly large scale. His preventive measure prohibits the use of communications and the Internet, but does not restrict movement.
In March, investigators charged the Blinovskys with legalizing 706 of 906 million rubles hidden from taxes.
