In Turkey, a dentist screwed a dental implant into a patient's brain
In Turkey, in the city of Bursa, a dentist screwed a titanium rod into the patient’s brain during the installation of a dental implant.
As reported by the telegram channel of the German publication Bild, the victim was 40-year-old Ramazan Yilmyz. He came to a private dental clinic and complained of a bad tooth. The dentist removed a tooth in the upper jaw and suggested installing an implant instead.
During the operation, according to the patient, the doctor complained to the nurse about the malfunction of the device that ensures accurate installation of the implant. After this, the dentist began to act manually and screwed the implant with such force that it broke the bone of the patient’s skull and entered the brain.
According to Yilmiz, who asked why it was crunching there so much, the dentist assured that everything was fine. But then the patient began to experience severe pain and the dentist took the man to the hospital.
The hospital decided to perform emergency surgery on the patient, but warned about the high risk of death. Yilmaz has already said goodbye to his wife and two children, but, fortunately, the intervention was successful.
Now a resident of Bursa is trying to return the money from the dentist, but he still refuses.
