Gazprombank and Agroinvestor held an expert evening with the participation of Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elena Fastova. Participants discussed the results of preferential lending for agribusiness in 2023 and prospects for the current year.

This year, the largest amount of funds has been provided for preferential lending since the beginning of the program — 219.2 billion rubles. Last year, 201.5 billion rubles were spent. 18 billion rubles are provided for new preferential short-term loans, and 2 billion rubles for investment loans. Borrowers have access to preferential loans of up to 10%, and for borrowers belonging to small businesses — up to 6.8%. Acceptance of registers in all areas continues. To date, short-term loans in the amount of 245.3 billion rubles have been approved, this corresponds to the level of last year.
Elena Fastova, in turn, noted that, despite the high key rate of the Bank of Russia at 16%, the government managed to maintain preferential rates for agricultural producers. The preferential lending mechanism is like a living organism: the Russian Ministry of Agriculture promptly responds to the needs of our farmers. Since many organizations were in investment waiting mode in 2023, from the beginning of the year preferential investment lending turned out to be the most popular. An additional 5 billion rubles were allocated to support investment activity. for investment lending, which will help maintain positive investment trends in the industry. She also noted that since 2024, changes have come into force aimed at expanding the list of areas for preferential short-term and investment loans.
