Conte could return as Chelsea manager

MOSCOW, May 2. London Chelsea began negotiations with Italian specialist Antonio Conte regarding his return to the coaching bridge of the English Premier League (EPL) football club, reports La Repubblica.
It is reported that the first contacts with Conte's entourage took place in the last few hours. Chelsea owner Todd Boeli expects to receive a final answer from the Italian specialist in the next few weeks.
Milan and Napoli are also showing interest in Conte, and the specialist himself would prefer to continue his career in his homeland. However, Milan plans to rely on youth, while Napoli has been negotiating with Conte for a long time to no avail. Chelsea is ready to offer the 54-year-old coach a major contract and an ambitious project on the transfer market.

Conte worked for Chelsea from 2016-18 and won the English Championship with the club in the 2016/17 season and the FA Cup in the 2017/18 season. The Italian's last place of work was London Tottenham, which he left in March 2023.
