In 2021, the company announced a plan according to which Cadillac was supposed to switch to selling only electric vehicles by 2030. However, current sales of “green” cars for many brands leave much to be desired: because of this, adjustments to the strategy have already been announced by Volkswagen, Toyota, Renault, Mercedes-Benz and Stellantis. Now it's Cadillac's turn.
According to the company's current vice president, John Roth, Cadillac intends to continue selling cars with internal combustion engines even after 2030. He explained that electric vehicles and cars with internal combustion engines will coexist in the brand’s lineup for several years. The top manager has not yet announced more specific deadlines.
