    Nurmagomedov will fight with the American at the UFC tournament

    MOSCOW, May 6. Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Umar Nurmagomedov will fight against American Corey Sandhagen at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night tournament in the UAE, according to the promotion’s Twitter page.
    The fight will take place on August 3 in Abu Dhabi. Initially, the fight between the fighters was supposed to take place on August 5, 2023 in Nashville (Tennessee, USA), but the Russian fighter withdrew due to the need for shoulder surgery.

    In March, Nurmagomedov defeated the representative of Kazakhstan Bekzat Almakhan at the UFC Vegas 87 tournament in Las Vegas.

    The cousin of ex-UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has 17 victories in 17 fights. Sandhagen has 17 wins and four losses.
