LIPETSK, May 7.The first international festival of puppet theaters «Linden Blossom» will be held from May 13 to 19 at the Lipetsk State Puppet Theater, along with Russian artists, groups from Armenia, Brazil, China and Iran will take part in the event, Governor Igor Artamonov said.
He noted that during the festival all venues of the Lipetsk Puppet Theater will be used, including the summer stage. Along with professional Russian acting groups from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Dzerzhinsk, Belgorod, as well as foreign countries, it is planned to involve Lipetsk school theater groups to participate in the street program to gain experience in the acting profession. 
As Artamonov said, there will be Various forms and genres of productions are presented. Spectators will see the work of street theaters, performances with elements of shadow theater, plastic sketches, unusual lighting solutions and scenography. In addition, the festival program will include master classes from famous Russian and foreign puppeteers, opening and closing ceremonies, excursions around the city and iconic places of the Lipetsk region.
«The Lipetsk audience knows well that puppet theaters are a story not only about fairy tales for children, but also serious productions with deep drama for connoisseurs of any age. Holding a festival with such a lineup of participants is a real gift for lovers of this genre,” commented Artamonov.
