As the Independent writes, Pasco Shikishima previously said it was investigating how rat remains got inside two bags of sliced ​​bread. The company claims that it has not yet found anyone who has been harmed after eating their Chojuku bread.

“We would like to deeply apologize for the inconvenience we have caused to our customers and clients. We will strengthen our quality management system to ensure that such incidents do not occur again,” the company said in a statement.

The Tokyo plant where bread is produced has suspended operations for now. It is reported that an investigation has been ordered.
