Mikhail Mishustin proposed introducing five newcomers to the new government
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin introduced five newcomers to positions in the new government. Among them are the governors of the Kursk, Kaliningrad and Kemerovo regions, as well as the Khabarovsk Territory, as well as the first deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Oksana Lut, writes RBC.
Roman Starovoit, the governor of the Kursk region, was proposed for the post of Minister of Transport. This post is currently occupied by Vitaly Savelyev, who can become deputy prime minister responsible for the development of transport and logistics. Starovoyt, having experience in regional administration, will be able to bring his knowledge in the field of transport at the federal level.
Anton Alikhanov, governor of the Kaliningrad region, is proposed for the post of Minister of Industry and Trade. Currently, this position is occupied by Denis Manturov, who can become the first deputy prime minister.
The Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Mikhail Degtyarev, was proposed for the post of head of the Ministry of Sports, replacing Oleg Matytsin. Degtyarev is a master of sports in fencing and a winner of many competitions. His experience and knowledge in the field of sports can be useful in the development and implementation of sports programs and initiatives.
Sergey Tsivilev, head of the Kemerovo region, was proposed for the post of head of the Ministry of Energy, replacing Nikolai Shulginov. Tsivilev was twice elected governor of Kuzbass.
Oksana Lut, first deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture, was proposed for the post of Minister of Agriculture. She is the only woman among the new candidates proposed by Mikhail Mishustin. Lut has enough competence in agriculture and the agricultural sector to develop this industry.
