MOSCOW, May 12. The number of people killed in a Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on a residential building in Belgorod has increased to 11, the press reported. -Ministry of Emergency Situations service.

“Rescuers rescued three more dead, including two children, from under the rubble in Belgorod. In total, the bodies of 11 people were recovered,” the department emphasized.

As the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov previously clarified, the list of victims will be published only after the completion of rescue operations, which will continue until they are completed in full.
Today Belgorod was subjected to massive shelling from the Ukrainian troops, during which, due to a direct hit by a shell, the entire entrance to a ten-story residential building on Shchorsa Street collapsed.
A little over an hour after the strike, a second collapse occurred – the attic fell down floor and roof located above the destroyed entrance. Because of this, three rescuers received varying degrees of injuries.
Vyacheslav Gladkov reported 20 victims, including two children. Search and rescue efforts continue. At the same time, they were already interrupted several times due to the declaration of a missile threat.
The Ministry of Defense clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at Belgorod with Tochka-U missiles and MLRS shells. Fragments of one of the downed Tochka-U missiles damaged a residential building.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case for a terrorist attack.
