The parliamentary opposition intends to spoil the ministers' voting ratings
Very soon the final stage of approving the Cabinet will begin in the State Duma. Deputies today will have to approve 16 ministers. The voting results promise to be mixed. It is already known in advance that the opposition factions, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the SRZP, intend to vote against Anton Siluanov (Ministry of Finance) and Maxim Reshetnikov (Minek). In general, the Socialist Revolutionaries intend to vote against four ministers. Their blacklist also includes candidates for the posts of ministers of labor and natural resources, Anton Kotyakov and Alexander Kozlov. But the financial and economic block causes particular pain for SRZP.
— He's a liberal! — the leader of the Socialist Revolutionaries Sergei Mironov could not stand it, speaking about the candidacy of Mr. Siluanov. — This is a liberal, with liberal ideas, with a reluctance to introduce a progressive income tax scale.
Mironov clarified that the president has now ordered the introduction of a progressive scale.
— Mark my words, the first thing he will do is this minister — and I have no doubt that he will be confirmed — will get into the pockets of the citizens. Not for the rich. He will want to pinch people,” Mironov predicted.
Gennady Zyuganov was a little softer in his wording, but also made it clear that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation would vote against the financial bloc of ministers. The reason is “they couldn’t get out of the course laid out by Gaidar and Chubais.” The communist leader wished the newcomer to the ministerial field, Anton Alikhanov, sincerity and emphasized that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation would vote for him in advance, since he “accepts the staff” from Denis Manturov.
For all ministers without exception, the communists have prepared a present — the book “Ministers of the Soviet era.» Zyuganov expressed confidence that if modern officials study the experience of their colleagues of past years, “everything will go better for them.”
