MOSCOW, May 12. American actor and director Roger Corman died at the age of 98, ABC News reported.
According to the publication, he died on May 9 at his home in California. The cause of his death is not specified.
Corman was born on April 5, 1926 in Detroit. The first film was made in 1955. He was also known as a director who knew how to make films quickly and on a small budget. In 1960, he created the film Little Shop of Horrors in just two days and thirty thousand dollars.
Corman starred in fifty projects, including the cult films The Godfather and The Silence of the Lambs. In 2009, he was awarded an Oscar for his contribution to the development of cinema.
