MOSCOW, May 11.A team of Russian developers conducted a test test of the Mostovaya 2.0 self-cleaning road surface technology, which has already successfully lasted two winters without changes, said the ANO Center for Strategic Support of Domestic Technologies.
“We conducted a test test of a road surface at a private facility, which is no different from asphalt in terms of transport convenience. The surface successfully lasted two winters without changes. The advantage of our surface is that it has greater functionality, ease of installation and repair, work is carried out faster and no bitumen or heating of the installation is required. Also, the coating does not leave carbon marks, cracks and holes do not form on it, and the road is always dry and clean,” said project leader Pavel Shapovalov.

The peculiarity of the technology is that it creates porous, waterproof and moisture-permeable products. The project may also be of interest to the countries of the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa.
Previously, a team of Russian developers created a technology for the production of road surfaces and curbs with built-in engineering, which can be used to drain water and melted snow due to their coarse-grained structure. Dust, puddles and small debris are removed along with precipitation. The technologies are based on original, specially developed polymers, our own, Russian production, which do not require the use of bitumen and heating of the installation, and cracks and pits do not form on it. The development was presented at the design and educational intensive «Archipelago 2022».
