MOSCOW, May 16. Actor and director, People's Artist of Russia Oleg Levakom died at the age of 77, the St. Petersburg Lensoveta Theater reported on its website.
«We lost a loved one. On May 15, at the age of 77 People's Artist of Russia, stage director Oleg Aleksandrovich Levakov, has died,” the obituary says.
The cause of his death is not specified.
Oleg Levakov was born in 1947 in Leningrad. He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography in 1974, after which he began performing at the Lensovet Theater. Oleg Levakov’s filmography includes more than 80 works, including roles in the detective series “Streets of Broken Lanterns” and “Secrets of the Investigation.” The actor was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia in 1993, and became People's Artist of Russia in 2008.
