The other day, photo spies first noticed a prototype of a new pickup truck of the Korean brand, which became the reason for us to get a first idea of how it will look like.
Today, the only pickup truck in the range of the Korean company Hyundai Motor, which includes Kia, is the Santa Cruz model, which premiered in 2021. However, in the future he will be accompanied by a pickup truck under the Kia brand, and more than one. Most recently, we published renderings of the upcoming frame pickup named Tasman, and recently a video of another cargo-passenger model, which will be electric, appeared on the Internet.

The prototype captured in the video, right down to the rear doors, completely replicates the flagship electric crossover Kia EV9, the official premiere of which took place in March last year. It is quite possible that the new product will indeed be a cargo-passenger version of the “nine”. The rear part is so far camouflaged the most, but the lights from the aforementioned Hyundai Santa Cruz can be seen through the camouflage. It is very doubtful that the production model will receive such rear optics, so we have depicted a version made in the style of the same EV9.

There is no reliable information about the technical part yet, you can only focus on the flagship Korean crossover. The Kia EV9 is based on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular) platform, created specifically for electric cars of the Korean concern. It is already used by such models as the Kia EV5 and EV6, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, as well as the Genesis GV60. The basic version of the SUV is equipped with a single 218-horsepower electric motor, and the top version is equipped with a dual-motor power plant, the total output of which is 385 hp. and 600 Nm.
