HARBIN, May 17.Aviation engine building is developing well in Russia, there are opportunities to create aircraft engines, a market is needed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
“Our aircraft engine industry is developing well. Just a few years ago, we created an aircraft engine that had not been produced before for the previous 20 years, or maybe 25,” Putin said at a meeting with students of Harbin Polytechnic University.
He said that Russia is now making a powerful engine for wide-body aircraft, everything is working out, and this could be a subject of cooperation with China.
“Why am I talking about this? Because the market is needed. Our friends understand this very well. We are ready to provide a technological solution, we need a market. The Chinese market is huge. If we produce piecemeal, it will be unprofitable, but the developments are good,” Putin said.
