VLADIVOSTOK, May 16. The assets of the Far Eastern fishing companies Real Development and Merlion became the property of the state by decision of the Arbitration Court of the Primorsky Territory, data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities shows.
Since May 15, the Federal Property Management Agency has owned the companies Real Development LLC and Merlion LLC. The corresponding entries have been made in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
On May 2, the Arbitration Court of the Primorsky Territory, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, recovered 17.4 billion rubles from Far Eastern fishing producers, including the “crab king” Dmitry Dremlyuga. The court invalidated the agreements between the Federal Fisheries Agency and the defendant companies fixing shares of crab fishing quotas.
The defense will appeal this decision, reported the lawyer representing Vladorion LLC.
The Prosecutor General's Office also asked to foreclose on the defendants' shares in the companies as partial compensation for damages. Their total cost is more than one and a half million rubles, but does not exceed the amount of damage. They discussed, among other things, Real Development LLC and Merlion LLC.
At the end of January, the Prosecutor General's Office filed two lawsuits to recover almost 400 billion rubles from fishing companies for illegal fishing of biological resources in the Far East. In total, 31 companies and 29 people were listed as defendants, including Dmitry Dremlyuga and Oleg Kan.
One lawsuit included Dmitry and Alena Dremlyugi, Yuri Dalishnev, the companies “Crab Marine”, “Real Development”, “Merlion” and others. The second concerned, in particular, Victoria Ledukova, Oleg and Alexander Kanov, and the companies Moneron, Aquamarine, and Sevrybflot.
At the end of March, the Arbitration Court of the Primorsky Territory recovered 358.7 billion rubles from Kan and other defendants and converted property worth 21 billion rubles into state income.
A representative of one of the defendants stated in court that Kahn died in the UK. But a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office called this a staged act, since the Russian civil registry office has no information about Kan’s death.
In April, the assets of seven Far Eastern fishing companies became state property. These are Sevrybflot, Aquamarine, Priboi-T, Rentelit, Kurilsky Universal Complex, Seamost Vostok and Primorskaya Fishing Company.
In August last year, the court transferred Dremlyuga’s property worth 4.3 billion rubles to the state. Then we were also talking about compensation for damage caused to aquatic biological resources. According to Far Eastern media, the businessman, against whom several criminal cases were opened, left Russia more than ten years ago. He is a citizen of Ukraine.
Kan is being tried in absentia in two criminal cases. In April, a panel of judges found him guilty of organizing the murder of businessman Valery Phidenko in 2010 and sentenced him to 17 years in a maximum security colony. The court also ordered compensation for moral damages from Kan in favor of five victims in the amount of 3 million rubles each. In the second case, Kan is accused of creating a criminal community, smuggling strategically important resources, as well as evading customs duties and taxes.
