An unknown person raised the Russian flag over the Reichstag using a drone

An unknown person attached the Russian flag to quadcopter and flew it in Berlin over the historic Reichstag building, which currently hosts meetings of the German parliament — the Bundestag. The corresponding videos circulated on the Internet for several days, but today the press service of the German Parliament officially confirmed that the incident took place on May 9.

As reported by the German publication Bild, citing a statement by the Bundestag administration, a drone with the Russian flag flew over on the eastern side of the building at a height of about 20 meters. Berlin police have opened criminal proceedings due to violations of the Air Traffic Law.

It is also reported that the person who controlled the drone has been detained. He had previously been detained for painting the «Z» symbol on the tower of an office building in Potsdam.
