TYUMEN, May 17.Since the beginning of the flood on the Ishim and Tobol rivers, about 500 residential buildings have been flooded, 220 of them have already been cleared of water, Governor Alexander Moor said.
“Since April, over 490 houses have been flooded in the Tyumen region, and today 220 have been cleared of water. A total of over 2,900 people were evacuated from the danger zone. Most stayed with relatives and friends. The flood also affected 10 bridges and 38 sections of highways «- Moor wrote in his Telegram channel following a meeting of the government commission with the participation of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov.
Moor noted that in the Tyumen region the flood period has been going on for a month. In mid-April, the level of the dangerous phenomenon was exceeded at the gauging station in the village of Ilyinka, Kazan region (more than 800 cm). Then the water just kept rising and reached a historical maximum on the Ishim River. Now there is a steady decline in water level along the Ishim River, but the Tobol continues to hold tension; on the Irtysh the peak has not yet been reached, so the flooding figures are not final.
A state of emergency due to flooding in the Tyumen region was introduced on April 8. According to the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tyumen region, as of Friday, 272 houses, 3,191 personal plots, 347 country houses and 38 sections of highways remain flooded in the region.
