Three people were killed and three others were injured when a tea factory building collapsed in southwestern China's Yunnan province, reports Xinhua, citing representatives of local authorities.

The incident occurred last Friday at about 15:00 local time in the city of Jinghong. As a result of the collapse, six people were trapped under the rubble and were rescued by emergency services.

The victims are being treated in hospital, their condition is described as stable.
