The special design was distinguished by a more impressive appearance and increased ground clearance. This SUV is only available with a diesel engine.
Two years ago, the Indian frame all-terrain vehicle Mahindra Scorpio entered its second generation, at the same time receiving the prefix N to its name. The model is also exported, and, curiously, a special version debuted abroad: sales of a hardcore modification called Scorpio-N recently started in South Africa Adventure Edition. By the way, the previous SUV intended for South Africa also had an “adventure” version.

The fresh special Scorpio-N received black metal bumpers, in addition, new lamps appeared at the front. In addition, the Adventure version has metal underbody protection, plastic linings on the wheel arches, off-road tires and a tow bar, and a roof rack is installed. An increased ground clearance was also announced, but the manufacturer did not disclose this figure.

The list of equipment also includes “leather” upholstery, a multimedia system, a rear view camera, climate control, a sunroof, rear parking sensors and ESC. The Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure has become the most expensive version in the range, but such an SUV does not even have a 7-inch screen in the dashboard, a front camera and wireless charging for a smartphone (all this goodness is available in the more affordable Z8L package). The African SUV is presented exclusively with a seven-seater cabin, while in India the model also comes in a six-seater version.

The engine is standard. In South Africa, the Scorpio-N is only available with a 2.2 mHawk turbodiesel engine producing 175 hp, which is paired with a classic six-speed automatic transmission. The Adventure Edition is offered with all-wheel drive (initial models are rear-wheel drive). Let us note that in India, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N also has a younger version of this diesel engine (132 hp), plus there you can buy an SUV with a 2.0 mStallion petrol turbo engine with a power of 203 hp. Well, we also have mechanics in our homeland.

The price of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition is 644,499 rand, which is equivalent to approximately 3.2 million rubles at the current exchange rate. A standard SUV there costs from R477,199 (about 2.4 million rubles). There is no data yet on whether the special version will reach other countries.
Recall that the first generation Scorpio is also still present in its homeland. Moreover, they once tried to sell the “first” all-terrain vehicle in Russia: for our market it was renamed Marshal, assembly was set up at GAZ, but the project was closed after producing only a small batch. In India, the previous generation SUV underwent another restyling in 2022.
