Military expert Vasily Dandykin commented on the publication of the Financial Times, which suggests that in Russia, perhaps at the end of the year or at the beginning of the next, it will be necessary to again resort to mobilization. Earlier, this material was commented on by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
“I don’t know in which case a new wave of partial mobilization might be needed,” Dandykin said in an interview with the News.ru portal. He pointed out that in modern conflicts technology decides a lot. The expert also recalled the words of the new Minister of Defense Andrei Belousov, who, during consultations in the Federation Council, called the issue of recruiting the Armed Forces one of the priorities, but separately emphasized that we are talking about planned measures, and not about mobilization.
Press -Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, in a comment to RIA Novosti, suggested that Financial Times journalists do not understand the real picture, because the recruitment of volunteer contract soldiers continues on a daily basis and is very active. “And the president has said more than once that, in the opinion of the military, there is no such need,” emphasized the head of the Kremlin press service.
