Experts from Autoteka (Avito Auto project), online car inspection service , analyzed data on cars with three or more owners listed on their title. The number of requests in Russia for such models from January to April 2024 increased by 15.85% compared to the same period last year.
Most of all, in this segment, Autoteka users showed interest in the products of the domestic automobile industry. Thus, the first three places in terms of the dynamics of the number of requests are occupied by VAZ models. The VAZ (LADA) Kalina family of small class cars is leading in terms of growth in requests – the number of user requests for this brand increased by 60.46% year-on-year. In second place is the five-door hatchback VAZ (LADA) 2114 Samara, the increase here was 47.09%. Third place goes to the Priora model produced by the same AvtoVAZ (39.13%).
Two foreign-made models also made it into the top five. These are the compact model Mitsubishi Lancer, requests for which grew by 11.31%, and the German compact car Opel Astra with an increase of 11.07%.

Interest in cars that have changed several owners has grown in most regions of Russia. Moreover, if the overall growth in the country in January-April was 15.85% compared to the same period last year, then in some regions it was even more significant. For example, in the Amur Region, interest in such cars grew by 61.77%, in the Irkutsk Region — by 56.85%, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory — by 51.94%. It can be assumed that some buyers are ready to consider cars with a richer ownership history if such cars meet their needs in terms of price and functionality.
