Tinkoff has made the instant payment service Tinkoff Pay available to holders of Tinkoff Junior debit cards for children, and also released a payment sticker specifically for the audience of children and teenagers. This is stated in the Tinkoff message.
As noted, you can pay using the Tinkoff Pay service wherever contactless payments are accepted: for example, in stores, cafes, and in transport. To make a purchase, simply bring the phone with the screen on to the payment terminal, so the child does not need to carry a plastic bank card, which can be difficult to find in a backpack. The service is suitable for clients with an Android smartphone.
If a child has an iOS phone, he will be able to pay for purchases using a Tinkoff Pay payment sticker by touching the mobile phone with the sticker on it to the payment terminal.
For Tinkoff Junior, the bank developed payment stickers with images of the characters from the animated series «Smeshariki»: Nyusha, Krosh, Barash and Hedgehog.
“Launching Tinkoff Pay for the bank’s youngest clients — a logical continuation of the development of our ecosystem. It is important for us that all Tinkoff clients have the opportunity to pay for their purchases in a way that is familiar and convenient to them. Now the ability to pay by phone has returned for Tinkoff Junior clients, both Android and iOS users. Paying for purchases using the Tinkoff Pay app or sticker is simple and safe, there is no risk of losing cash, and this is especially important when it comes to children,” said Tinkoff Pay Product Director Nikita Buklish.
When paying with Tinkoff Pay, to confirm a transaction for an amount over 1000, you need to unlock the phone using a code, fingerprint or face. After receiving the sticker, the client can set up a PIN code in the Tinkoff application and change it as necessary, set a spending limit, and if the sticker is lost, block it.
