VORONEZH, June 2The director of Voronezh school No. 11, which was involved in a scandal with the inspection of students before the Unified State Exam, wrote a letter of resignation, a representative of the mayor's office said.
«The director <…> wrote application for voluntary resignation due to retirement,” the administration said.
On the website School No. 11 of Voronezh indicates that its director is Larisa Nikolaevna Khoprova, an excellent student of public education. She was a member of the state examination commission and was among the suspended specialists.
The scandal broke out on May 28 at school No. 62 before the Unified State Examination in the Russian language. According to eyewitnesses, schoolgirls were forced to remove their bras, lift up their T-shirts and shirts during searches before an exam in search of phones, and “almost everyone was groped.”
The regional government later stated that it had conducted an internal investigation and found no violations of ethical standards when admitting schoolchildren about the exam, there were no complaints from students.
Minister of Education of the Voronezh Region Natalya Salogubova stated that the adults who were involved in the scandalous situation were suspended from participating in the unified state exam.
The regional headquarters of the Investigative Committee of Russia and the local the prosecutor's office began inspections.
