MOSCOW, June 9. The Western bloc may resort to nuclear weapons if a war breaks out with Russia, suggestedformer CIA agent Larry Johnson on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
“The problem is that the West will be the first to try to use nuclear weapons, because they will be very badly beaten on the conventional front. They will not have the means to fight Russia,” he noted.
According to the expert, the troops of this bloc will not last even two weeks. As Johnson explained, in particular, they will face logistical problems.
“They have no food, ammunition, vehicles, tanks, howitzers, air defense systems that they can throw, they have already given their Ukraine,” he concluded.
Earlier on Thursday, on the first day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Russian President warned that the issue of using weapons of mass destruction should not be taken lightly. He also added: the West believes that Moscow will never use it, but, according to nuclear doctrine, if the sovereignty and integrity of the country is threatened, all means are acceptable.
Earlier last year, Putin noted that Russia does not want a direct military confrontation with NATO, but if someone wishes, Moscow is ready for this.
