Genk striker Joseph Paintsil prepares to kick off his signing battle between the Premier League and European clubs after helping his team top the Belgian professional league.
Brentford, Fulham and Brighton sent scouts to watch Ghana this season and were impressed that the 25-year-old scored 28 goals in a season.
For clubs with statistics : based on scouting, Paintsil has had an outstanding performance this season with 14 goals and 14 assists in the regular season, with the playoffs yet to come.
He is expected to make huge profits for Genk after they signed him from his homeland after a loan from Ferencváros in Hungary. His goals have propelled him to £10m as clubs gear up for the summer transfer window.
Paintsil's contribution to goals and assists has made him the highest-scoring African player in Europe this season, two more than Napoli striker Victor Osimhen (21 and 4) and ahead of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah in the table.
This season he played on the right at the Chegek Arena, but he can also play in the center, which the clubs like. All three Premier League clubs who have shown interest are planning to step up their attacks in the summer to continue a great season.
Brentford want to keep Beckham
Brentford want Romeo Beckham to stay on their B team next season. Beckham Jr, son of former England captain David Beckham, is on loan from Inter Miami until the end of the campaign.
But he could have had a choice: stay on the Brentford feeder team — on a one-year contract with an option — or return to America. The midfielder scored the winning goal against Wealdstone during his time at Brentford.
Romeo Beckham plays regularly for Brentford B. Goalkeeper Spike Brits has been considered by three Premier League clubs after he caught the eye at Wimbledon where he trained with the first team this season.
The 15-year-old's family and advisers are set to next week choose which club is best suited for its development.
Napoli stars in the Scudetto will be worth more than market value
Napoli are on the brink of the Scudetto and their reputation as the most spectacular side in Europe this season shows that other clubs are eyeing their players and staff.
However, sporting directors have been led to believe that the centre-back South Korea's Kim Min Jae is the only one of their key players who has a release clause. Kim is regarded as one of the best centre-backs in Europe this season and most Premier League clubs know he can be worth far less than Joshko Guardiol at RB Leipzig.
But other crown jewels like Victor Osimhen can be much more difficult to obtain without overpaying for market value. Napoli have been known to be difficult to buy in recent years. Kalidou Koulibaly was linked with a move to England for many years before finally moving to Chelsea last summer at the age of 31.
Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti is expected to take a prominent place in Europe this summer, as will sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.
