Tinkoff launched the first mobile banking cell service in Russia

Tinkoff has launched a new service for the Russian market — storing valuables in mobile safe deposit boxes for premium clients.

The application is filled out online, the deposit box is delivered to the client by a collector at a convenient location and time, and then takes her in an armored vehicle to a 5th security class* storage facility in the Tinkoff cash center, which is not accessible to other clients.

The cash collector also brings the valuables back to the client in an armored vehicle.

Tinkoff provided a high level of security at every stage of the provision of services:

• all keys to the filled cell remain with the client;
• filled cells are placed in a 5th class storage facility, which is not accessible to other clients;
• all data about each application is confidential;
• At all stages from the registration of the service to the moment the cell with valuables enters the storage facility, the application is digitally monitored by a special Tinkoff team.

The service is available to Tinkoff Private and Tinkoff Premium clients in Moscow and the Moscow region, they can use it free of charge as one of the privileges of premium service. In the future, the service will be available in other regions of Russia.

The cell size is 39.5 x 28 x 10 cm, for example, it can fit a gold bar weighing 12 kg, A4 documents, a small laptop. If there are more valuables, then the client can place an application for several cells at once.

The service will be relevant both for long-term storage — for example, gold bars or valuable documents, and for short-term storage — for example, during a vacation or business trip. The client just needs to call the collector and not have to adjust to the operating hours of the operating department. Also, he does not need to carry valuables around the city on his own, which is especially convenient on the eve of a trip.

How the service is issued

1. An application for a safe deposit box can be submitted in the Tinkoff mobile application or in a chat with support.
2. To meet with the collector, you can choose a convenient time period during the day — from 9:00 to 23:00.
3. When meeting with a client, the collector hands the client a box, which he fills with his valuables and locks it with a key. All keys to the locker remain with the client; only the client can open the locker.
4. The cash collector in an armored vehicle brings the cell to the storage facility, where other clients have no access, the valuables remain in storage for the required period. In the application, the client receives information about the cell, the period and conditions of its storage.
5. When a client needs to pick up valuables, he orders delivery by a collector to where it is convenient for him to receive them. Having opened the box with the key, the client takes the valuables and returns them to the collector.
