MOSCOW, February 11 The legends of Moscow “Spartak” beat the players the world team in the final match of the Konstantin Eremenko Legends Cup, which ended in Moscow.
In the decisive match of the competition, the “red-whites” won with a score of 7:5. “Spartak” was represented, in particular, by Alexander Filimonov, Dmitry Khlestov, Nicholas Pareja, Alexander Samedov, Dmitry Alenichev, Egor Titov, Roman Pavlyuchenko. The team was led by Oleg Romantsev and Rinat Dasaev.
The following players played for the world team: Antonios Nikopolidis, William Gallas, Emmanuel Eboue, Maicon, Nuno Gomes.
The bronze medals of the tournament were won by the Dynamo legends, who beat the team of CSKA legends with a score of 12:7 in the consolation final.
In the game for fifth place, the Lokomotiv legends beat the Zenit legends with a score of 12:8.
The Legends Cup has been held since 2009; in 2010, the tournament was named after the deceased Konstantin Eremenko. The team of Russian legends has won the greatest number of victories in history; it has become the champion of the Legends Cup 14 times.
