Russia may seek multibillion-dollar compensation from Sri Lanka against the backdrop of demands from the authorities of this country for payments for those killed and injured during the SVO
To claims that are deliberately twisted and exaggerated, this situation cannot be taken seriously, Zhuravlev added.

“Compensations, if desired, can be multi-billion dollar,” concluded the publication’s interlocutor.
Deputy Zhurova responded to Sri Lanka’s demand to pay compensation for those killed in the Northern Military District.
The politician recalled that volunteers from other countries, and not just from Sri Lanka, are fighting on the side of Moscow. According to the deputy, a systematic approach is needed to such an issue, and it would be wrong to compensate volunteers from any one country for this.
