Theo Dan convincingly announces the call to England in front of Steve Borthwick

Theo Dan of the Saracens breaks the ball against the London Irishman. p>It's World Cup bolter season and Theo Dan backed up his case that the England team would be an extraordinary rise as the Saracens did away with the London Irish's top four hopes ahead of Steve Borthwick.

Dan, fussy and a busy prostitute with an attractive pace, started this championship loan campaign with Ampthill but jumped at the opportunities when they were presented during a guaranteed breakout year. In the absence of a rested Jamie George and Tom Woolstencroft, he scored one of his team's five tries and was accurate in every aspect.

The 22-year-old London-born, whose parents are Romanians, joined the Saracen academy as a center. Through an internship at Bishop's Stortford in the National League, he worked his way up from Tom Young to the front row. This background is evident in his sincere and dynamic behavior. It is assumed that Borthwick is interested in an accelerated search for Dan, which could happen as early as this summer; especially if Luke Cowan-Dickey and Jack Walker are struggling to regain full fitness. Indeed, the England depth chart below George looks uncertain.

Nick Dolly is set to be part of Leicester Tigers' bid for a second successive Premier League title. George McGuigan is back at Gloucester and Tom Dunn and Jamie Blamire have joined the Six Nations shake-up. Curtis Langdon is another option. Borthwick at StoneX Stadium with Richard Hill on Sunday will want to make sure Dan's shots and grappling can meet the requirements of the test zone. What is obvious is the way the young Saracen scatters the bodies in the line of reinforcement to defeat the defenders. Dan, the third choice in his club, is an exciting prospect with valuable qualities.

“He has the X factor with his carrying ability and overall contact,” Mark McCall later said. “I think he threw very well today; it was important. He still has some work to do and is being praised, but he knows there are areas in his game that he needs to work on.»

Collectively, the Saracens will need to improve to secure their first Premier League title since 2019. McCall hailed the victory, which seemed «significant» due to the «rambling» nature of the skirmish. The Saracens are likely to play the Northampton Saints in the semi-finals after making clumsy patches to get rid of the Irish, who will be disappointed that they didn't make the playoffs. Declan Kidney's team was here 10-0 and showed great promise this year. Like Dan, Ben Earl excelled during an intriguing duel with Tom Pearson. Owen Farrell scored 20 points and was successful on both sides of the ball.

The Irish beat the Saracens brilliantly back in December and have had good results in this stadium lately. They started well. Despite Farrell leading the hosts' strong defense by beating Pearson and then forcing Matt Rogerson to drop the ball, the Saracens conceded a penalty in the scrum which was scored by Paddy Jackson.

Rory Jennings, who had made significant progress in Irish midfield since the departure of Curtis Rona, scored a 50-22 free kick and the Irish capitalized without much fuss. So'otala Faaso'o punched a significant hole and Rogerson pulled. The Saracens looked passive and weak during a first quarter rife with unforced errors. It took them 25 minutes to initiate any impulse. And then, at the end of the break, when they hit the opponent so often, they struck.

The Irish seemed to have done enough to end the first period with a 10-6 lead as they survived a concerted pass under pressure and forced a 22 out. Jackson went on the touchdown but Alex Good felt the opportunity to shoot off tired defenders. He threw a fast corridor at Malins and although the Irish attacked the ensuing breakdown, the Saracens remained calm and played to go blind. Goode and Tompkins passed the ball to Earl, who broke into the lead. Good fell behind to receive an inside pass and complete it. Despite the poor game, the Saracens were leading by the break.

At the start of the second period, Dan's fierce attack was stopped by a high tackle by Simmons that earned a yellow card and the Saracens punished the Irish immediately, with Sean Maitland dotting. The Irishman answered well. Jackson converted a couple of penalties, but Farrell rewarded his flock for violating the scrum rules. After Maitland's front kick, Dan dug into the ground due to the muscular kick.

The popular Eroni Mavi made two attempts at close range when the Saracens broke away and took first place. Mike Willems' consolation score was only that the Irish and Northampton were most likely to get the Saracens semi-final.

Kidney chuckled ruefully when he was reminded that McCall sent a much less experienced team to the Saints last weekend. “All the merit of the Saracens is that they withstood any fluctuations in momentum that they met on the way,” he said. «I know we're getting better, but we need to win chances that will make us better.»
