Romelu Lukaku will be asked if he wants to try to revive his Chelsea career under appointed permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino as attention turns to which players can thrive with the Argentine at Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku spent the season on loan at Stamford Bridge. Inter after making it clear they no longer want to play under former head coach Thomas Tuchel after falling out with the German during his first season at the club.
Injuries and traumatic World Cup Experience with Belgium contributed that Lukaku endured a difficult season at Inter, prompting reports that the Italians would not be looking for him on loan for a second season or trying to buy him.
This represents a potential headache for Chelsea as Lukaku appears to support the prospect of staying at Inter. But the club will hold talks with the player about his options and have not ruled out the possibility of reintegrating the Belgian into the first team if he is willing to try to revive his career at Chelsea.
Tuchel's successor Graham Potter has already left the door open for Lukaku's summer comeback and it's unlikely Pochettino would object to such a scenario given his experience with all the players at his disposal.
Chelsea's priority is this summer is a reduction in the composition and, if possible, only a few quality additions. The biggest questions hang over striker and goalkeeper positions, but Pochettino may feel he can work with Lukaku if he shows the right will, and with Armando Broja, who has missed this season with an injury.
Broja has yet to prove himself at Chelsea, but one Harry Kane faced a lot of doubts about his pedigree at a big club before Pochettino gave him a chance.

It is believed that, despite all the problems this season, Chelsea's field squad, albeit too large, is already well prepared for Pochettino, with right-back Malo Gusto and striker Christopher Nkunku intending to join them in the summer.
< p>Pochettino has always placed great value on the use of his full-backs and with Rhys James and Ben Chilwell he will have two of the best in the Premier League at his disposal, with Gusto and Mark Cucurella providing support and competition.
Whether in the back four or in front of the back three, Pochettino asks his full-backs to push up the field and provide enough width. It is no coincidence that Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier have emerged as the most effective players in their respective positions for Spurs and England.
Tottenham reached the Champions League final in 2019, but in 2015-16 it is was the Pochettino team. , making a challenge to the Premier League champions unlikely, perhaps giving a better idea of how he could shape Chelsea's young squad.
Pochettino prefers four backs but also used three backs that season. With a back four in a 4-2-3-1 formation, Eric Dier or Victor Wanyama could pull back as an anchor to create space for Christian Eriksen, who often started to the right of the apron three behind Kane to collect the ball deep.
Chelsea don't have a player like Dyer, but if he stays this season, N'Golo Kante could be hired in a similar role and Mason Mount could take Eriksen's position. Like James, Mount will miss the rest of this season with an injury and may even play his last game for the club as his contract is still pending, but Pochettino is a huge England fan.Conor Gallagher's energy and performance is something Pochettino will admire, but at least one midfielder will leave Chelsea this summer, and the future of Manchester City's admired Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mateo Kovacic will also hang in doubt. .
Dele Alli was regarded as one of the best young players in Europe under Pochettino, and his ability to come late to the box and score big goals may be what Pochettino expects from Nkunku, and Mikhail Mudrik, the Chelsea player who can be seen as the closest, in terms of vision of his qualities, Son Heung Min.

Mudrik hasn't made much of an impression at Chelsea yet, but with Son taking a season to acclimatize at Spurs, this is unlikely to worry Pochettino too much.
Like the South Korean, Mudrik has incredible ability . and proved at Shakhtar Donetsk, if not at Stamford Bridge, that he is capable of scoring and assisting.
Raheem Sterling could certainly play anywhere in the top three and is likely to have an important role on the pitch and in the dressing room under Pochettino — despite Nkunku's arrival and regardless of whether Mount remains.
< p>Leadership is something Chelsea have been missing this season, but it was an important part of Pochettino's best Spurs team and it ran through the backbone of a team with Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen, Dier and Kane.
< p>Pochettino will appreciate the talent and potential of Wesley Fofana, Benoît Badiashile and Levi Colville, who return from a loan spell at Brighton, but can also, at least initially, draw on the experience and leadership of Thiago Silva and perhaps even Kalidou Coulibaly, captain of the Senegal. .
As far as Chelsea goalkeepers are concerned, the most likely scenario is that a new player will appear to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga or replace him in the No. 1 position.
Who will come out As Pochettino's main striker, whether Lukaku, Brocha or newcomer, will be one of the most interesting early aspects of Chelsea's latest new era. -2-3-1) Mauricio Pochettino, possibly Chelsea XI (3-4-2-1)
