Agents tasked with protecting Naomi Biden were with her in the Georgetown area late Sunday when they saw three people smashed the window of a parked, unoccupied SUV, the official said. The official could not publicly discuss details of the investigation and spoke to the AP on Monday on condition of anonymity.
One of the agents opened fire, but no one was injured. This is stated in a statement by the Secret Service. Three people were seen fleeing in a red car, and the Secret Service said it issued a regional bulletin for police to look for her.
