Valentina Cafolla at 140 meters. dive under the ice set a new world record for women in dynamic freediving.
Cafolla, 27, was competing on Saturday in Lago di Anterselva, Italy, when she achieved this result.
< p>The previous world record in the women's category was a dive of 126 meters, set by Japanese athlete Yasuko Ozeki.
Dynamic freediving involves holding your breath while continuously moving underwater.
