A Ural military man who participated in a special operation in Ukraine was mistakenly recognized as a deserter. State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov spoke about this, writes E1.RU.

The publication clarifies that the man has been lying in a coma for a year in a hospital in the Leningrad region. A resident of Sukhoi Log, Sverdlovsk region, lost his passport, which is why the family could not receive payments for the SVO participant. The migration service insisted that the military man himself come for a new document.

Later, the relatives managed to restore the passport, but his relatives never received the money.

The deputy said, that he contacted the military prosecutor's office regarding payments. There they found out that they were not going to pay the allowance to the SVO participant at all.

According to the military unit, it turns out that he was not lying in a coma in a military hospital, but had left his unit without permission.
