Six British fighters arrived in Romania to participate in the NATO mission
Six British Typhoon fighters arrived in Romania. According to the Royal Air Force, they will participate in the NATO air policing mission and, in particular, monitor Russian aircraft.
It is specified that for four months they will be based at the Mihail Kogalniceanu airbase. near the city of Constanta. More than two hundred military personnel were sent to the republic to service it.
The message states that the aviation group will be in constant readiness to “intercept Russian aircraft” in the event of their “approaching NATO airspace.”
Recall that on April 1, the multinational exercise JCET-2024 started in Moldova. They involve military personnel from Romania and the United States. The Republican Ministry of Defense stated that the purpose of the training was joint training, exchange of experience and increasing the level of efficiency between special forces of the three countries. The training will end on April 19.
