MOSCOW, June 28 Traffic on the section of railway in Komi where nine cars of a passenger train derailed has been restored, Russian Railways reported on its Telegram channel.
«In 3:42 Moscow time, June 28, train traffic was opened on the second track of the Inta-1 — Ugolny section of the Northern Railway. The track, damaged as a result of the embankment being washed away and the cars of a passenger train derailing, was restored,» the company said.
They added that an embankment was erected at the site of the emergency, 200 meters of new rail and sleeper grid were laid, and the track was leveled with special equipment.
Traffic has been opened on both tracks, all delayed trains are being put back on schedule.
On Wednesday, June 26, nine cars of passenger train No. 511 Vorkuta — Novorossiysk derailed on the section in Komi. There were 195 passengers and 20 railway workers on board, three people were killed and ten were injured.
