In Dagestan, reports of the murder of a member of the Northern Military District by radicals were denied

The Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of Dagestan has denied reports that radicals attacked and killed a participant in a special operation in the village of Agachaul. A publication on the department's Telegram channel states that the incident took place, but was associated with a dispute between two families over a plot of land.

«The main cause of the conflict is a land dispute between relatives over a plot of land» , the ministry said in a statement.

As it turned out, the village administration allocated four plots of land to the relatives, as participants in the SVO. But they still have grievances against each other about the area on the outskirts of the village called “Yolki”. The families had been having this dispute since 2016, and on July 13, a fight broke out between them, during which a 25-year-old man fired a firearm at least 13 times into a crowded area.

As a result, a former SVO participant died , his father and brother and two other people were injured.

The shooter was detained. A criminal case has been initiated.
