The Russian office hasn't yet told which cars will reach our country, however, these will apparently be converted Chery.
In China, Omoda is just a series of mother Chery, while in Russia and in some other foreign markets, Omoda has been turned into a separate brand, and we also have our own dealer network. So now the Chery sub-brand has its own sub-brand — Jaecoo. By the way, in some places this brand will also seem to be independent, but this is still inaccurate: all the details will become known after the presentation, which will be held on April 18 at the Shanghai Motor Show. Meanwhile, the Russian office of Omoda still shared the first introductory.
So, with us, Jaecoo will be the “senior offshoot” of Omoda. So, we are talking about richer equipped and more expensive cars. The launch of the new line is scheduled for the second half of this year, in total, two Jaecoo models are planned to be introduced in Russia by the end of 2023, but which ones are not specified. In the Russian Federation, they are going to be sold in 120 showrooms: 100 dealerships will unite Omoda and Jaecoo cars, and another 20 salons will turn out to be independent (Omoda itself, according to the company, has 120 dealers in Russia today). And that's all the official information for now.

Meanwhile, the first-born Jaecoo was previously spotted by the Vietnamese division of Omoda: apparently, the debut model will be a crossover with an “off-road” image, which is now known in native China as the Chery TJ-1 (it is also in the title photo). The last index is internal. It is curious that just the other day this Chery cross was “leaked” by the Chinese Ministry of Industry, and so the Real Me nameplate flaunts on the certification pictures on the stern of the car. According to the documents of the Ministry of Industry, the length of the five-door Chery is 4538 mm, the wheelbase is 2672 mm. At home, the model will be offered with a 1.6 petrol turbo engine and all-wheel drive, there will also be hybrid versions.

And photo spies recently caught a large Chery Tiggo 9 crossover with the Jaecoo emblem. However, Russia may have its own range of models. Recall that now Omoda sells only one model in the Russian Federation — a completely independent C5 SUV. Very soon, the Omoda S5 sedan will join the crossover — this is a slightly redesigned Chery Arrizo 5 Plus.
