FAW Bestune T99 crossover can already be bought in Russia, but that is about «parallel» machines. Now, the local division of the Chinese concern has announced the release of the model on our market: official sales will start in late June — early July. By the way, this will be the third Russian premiere of FAW this year — the Bestune T55 SUV and the B70 liftback entered the market earlier.

In its native China, the T99 debuted in 2019, and at the end of last year, the SUV went through a restyling there. However, a pre-reform model was brought to us. Appearance features — a large radiator grille with a massive chrome trim, narrow headlights, vertical stripes of running lights and taillights made in the form of a single die (of course, diode optics). The length of the FAW Bestune T99 is 4800 mm, the width is 1915 mm, the height is 1685 mm, and the wheelbase is 2870 mm. That is, in terms of its dimensions, the cross is close to the current Kia Sorento, while the “Chinese” is exclusively five-seater.

Inside, there is a virtual instrument cluster and a multimedia system touchscreen hidden under one glass, and the scoreboard has a visor. Another display is located under the central air vents; climate control was brought to it. Our T99 is also promised «leather» upholstery, light and rain sensors, cruise control. In other countries, the arsenal of the model still includes a panoramic sunroof, all-round cameras and a marking tracking system — it is likely that the Russian top-end crossover will have a similar set.
There is only one engine — a 2.0 petrol «turbo four», on our Bestune T99 it produces 224 hp. and 340 Nm, the motor is paired with a classic six-speed «automatic» (in China, the model is equipped with 8AKP). Drive only forward. It is reported that the first «hundred» SUV will dial in 8.6 seconds. will be announced closer to the launch date. One of the Moscow dealers, for example, is now asking for at least 2,950,000 rubles (excluding shares) for T99 brought under the parallel import scheme.
