AVTOVAZ in a couple of days will begin producing Vestas with a two-color body: with a black roof and exterior mirror housings.
The updated Lada Vesta family debuted in February 2022; the plant in Izhevsk managed to produce a small batch of restyled sedans and station wagons. However, in early March, production was suspended due to a shortage of components. As a result, AVTOVAZ decided to move the production of Vesta to the main plant located in Togliatti. The refreshed cars entered the assembly line at the beginning of March this year, and their sales in the Russian Federation began at the beginning of last summer.
By the way, on the eve of the start of sales of the restyled Lada Vesta, a Kolesa.ru correspondent tested the car in action: details are in our test drive.

Now AVTOVAZ reports that the refreshed Vesta will now be produced with a two-tone body color (the model had such versions before the update). These cars have a black roof and a similar color for the side mirror housings; the company explained that a contrasting finish is available to Vestas in the Techno configuration.
In addition, the equipment of the Techno and Enjoy versions has now been expanded to include a rear camera type, and the Lada Vesta acoustic system in the Life package was supplemented with a microphone with a hands-free function.
As the AVTOVAZ press service said, the recommended retail price of the car in the Life version is 1,500,900 rubles, for Enjoy they do not ask less than 1,560,900 rubles, and the purchase of Vesta performed by Techno will cost customers no less than 1,702,900 rubles. At the same time, the starting price of the basic Lada Vesta is still (from the start of sales) 1,239,900 rubles.
The base for the updated Lada Vesta sedans and station wagons is a 90-horsepower eight-valve four-cylinder 1.6-liter engine. It applies only to the starting versions of Comfort. In addition, the range includes a 16-valve four-cylinder engine of the same displacement, its power is 106 hp: this option is available to all trim levels. Both engines come with a non-alternative five-speed manual transmission.
Recall that one of AVTOVAZ’s upcoming projects is the launch of the Lada Aura. This car is an extended version of Vesta, which is mainly intended for budget organizations and regional officials. Earlier, the Russian company noted that to start producing such machines, “confirmed stable demand” is needed; if it happens, the release of Aura will start in August-September 2024.

In addition, next year AVTOVAZ intends to begin production of electric station wagons and vans Lada e-Largus, and in the second quarter the transfer of production of gasoline Largus should be completed from the Tolyatti plant to the Izhevsk plant (production will be resumed later in that year) same year). The start of production of cars of the budget Lada Iskra family, which should replace the Granta, is scheduled for 2024.
