Vivek Ramaswamy said his car was rammed by protesters Thursday while campaigning in Iowa.
The 2024 presidential candidate was filmed talking to protesters who objected to his proposals regarding the US education system.
He later tweeted that two protesters «got into their car and crashed into ours.»
Police said the car was accidentally rammed by a woman visiting the area who was not associated with protest.
Photos published by MailOnline show the rear of Mr Ramaswamy's rental car damaged in an apparent collision.
The site said protesters were filmed calling the candidate a «hole» and making obscene gestures while during his election campaign in a swing state.
