Telescope Array scientists have discovered a powerful cosmic ray of unknown nature

Experts from the University of Utah reported that an international team of researchers and scientists from the Telescope Array project has discovered the second most powerful cosmic ray ever observed.

Scientists clarified that at the moment the nature of this ray cannot be determined.

“We traced the trajectory of the new particle to the source. During our work, we were unable to identify anything with a high level of energy to produce it. What the hell is going on? — said Telescope Array spokesman John Matthews.

According to another scientist, these could be defects in the structure of space-time, for example, cosmic strings between which a collision occurs.

“However, now There is no generally accepted explanation for these phenomena,” added Professor John Belz.
