Razvozhaev: two drone operators in the Northern Military District were awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously

Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev announced the awarding of the title of Hero of Russia to two residents of the city who went to the Northern Military District. These are Nikita Mechtanov and Vyacheslav Pastukhov with the call signs “Dream” and “Svyat.”

“By Decree of the President, the titles of Heroes of Russia were awarded posthumously,” said Razvozhaev.

According to the official, Mechtanov and Pastukhov “were one of the best FPV drone operators” and “went into the last battle together.” Razvozhaev explained why the command decided to send the best fighters at the same time: “The situation was too serious.”

Sevastopol residents died on October 30 last year near Krynki.

According to Razvozhaev, Mechtanov “was one of the most effective operators of kamikaze drones who thwarted the plans of the Ukronazis.» He reportedly destroyed 19 fast boats, about a dozen cars «and up to 100 personnel.» Pastukhov “in his last battle, under heavy artillery fire, destroyed up to 20 people of the advancing infantry.” His wife is “one of the most active volunteers since the beginning of the Northern Military District,” added Razvozhaev.
