KAZAN, June 13 Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics Nikita Nagorny withdrew from the individual all-around competition at the BRICS Games due to a hand injury.
The athlete was injured while performing exercises on the uneven bars.
““I withdrew from the all-around! Thanks to everyone who believed, and sorry to everyone I let down! Today I lost,” Nagorny wrote in the Telegram channel.
The BRICS Games take place from June 12 to 24. About 5 thousand athletes from more than 90 countries of the world are participating in the competition, they will compete for 387 sets of medals.

The capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, was chosen as the venue for the Games for a reason: the city has extensive experience in organizing international events and a powerful base of sports facilities.
The organizers greeted the guests of the Games with traditional Russian and Tatar treats — karavai and chak-chak.
