Minors detained for attempting to set fire to locomotives.
Two groups of minors from locals who tried to set fire to railway infrastructure facilities have been detained in the Sverdlovsk region, the Central Interregional Investigative Department for Transport (TID) of the Investigative Committee of Russia reports.
One of the groups, which consisted of five people, was detained in Krasnouralsk, the other, consisting of three people, was detained in Pervouralsk. The detainees tried to set fire to locomotives and railway relay cabinets. The teenagers arrived at the railway with metal scraps and flammable liquid. They were detained by employees of the FSB Directorate for the Sverdlovsk region.
“The suspects received instructions on how and where to commit the arson via the Telegram messenger from a person located in Ukraine,” the Central TID press release states. The teenagers were promised money that they did not receive.
Criminal cases have been opened against the minors for terrorist attacks.
