Donald Trump stopped at a Cuban cafe in Miami minutes after pleading not guilty in a classified documents case, noting that his historic appearance in court ruined his birthday.
The former president turns 77 years old on June 14, and the crowd that came to see Trump in the Cuban restaurant Versailles sang “Happy Birthday” to him.
“Some kind of birthday. What a birthday,” Trump snorted. “Our government is out of control.”
Shortly after leaving the courthouse, the former president's convoy of about a dozen SUVs suddenly stopped at a restaurant, a favorite haunt of campaigning politicians. in Miami, known as “the most famous Cuban restaurant in the world.”
A crowd of flag-waving supporters waited outside, and the restaurant was packed.
Mr. Trump was standing in the restaurant with several religious leaders, and they were praying with him.

Amid applause, he declared: “Food for everyone!”
He also took a picture with a supporter and said: “Don't fight him.”
Denouncing the case against him, Trump told the crowd, “We have a rigged and corrupt country. We have a nation in decline, and then they do this.
“We love people. You see the crowd.”

Miami-Dade County, where the restaurant is located, is dominated by a Hispanic electorate, and Trump significantly increased his share of the vote in this district in 2020.
