    'Some kind of birthday': Trump snorts as he stops outside a Cuban sandwich shop

    Donald Trump stopped at a Cuban cafe in Miami minutes after pleading not guilty in a classified documents case, noting that his historic appearance in court ruined his birthday.

    The former president turns 77 years old on June 14, and the crowd that came to see Trump in the Cuban restaurant Versailles sang “Happy Birthday” to him.

    “Some kind of birthday. What a birthday,” Trump snorted. “Our government is out of control.”

    Denouncing the case against him, Trump told the crowd, “We have a rigged and corrupt country. We have a nation in decline, and then they do this.

    “We love people. You see the crowd.”

    Miami-Dade County, where the restaurant is located, is dominated by a Hispanic electorate, and Trump significantly increased his share of the vote in this district in 2020.
