Newsweek reports, that US President Joe Biden put Chinese President Xi Jinping in an awkward position during a meeting in San Francisco, asking the Chinese leader to convey birthday greetings to his wife Peng Liyuan.
As noted in the publication, Xi Jinping's wife will turn Biden turns 61 on November 20, the same day he will celebrate his 81st birthday. According to Newsweek, the head of the United States wished the wife of the President of the People's Republic of China a happy birthday.
The publication added that in response to this, the Chinese leader admitted that, due to work, he completely forgot about his wife's birthday, which will take place already next week.
