The death of two Russians whose bodies were found near a river in northern India, according to preliminary data, was not of a violent nature, the Russian Embassy reported, citing police data.

Law enforcement officers in the state of Himachal Pradesh previously spoke about the discovery of the bodies of two Russians in the area of ​​the village of Manikaran . Mobile phones and passports of the victims were found next to the bodies of Russian tourists. In addition, a note allegedly written by a woman was found at the scene. In the message, she asks to transfer her phone number to her family in Russia through the embassy. Another note asked that items be sent to the Russian embassy.

The man is said to be 37 years old and the woman 21 years old. As the embassy reported, according to primary data, the death was not of a violent nature. An investigation is underway.
